Analysis of Where is God?

NICOLE N WESTCARR 1971 (Montego Bay)

Where is God in all of this?
Is He still here, or did He become remiss
In all the promises that He wonderfully made
To protect and provide for us, from birth till the grave?

Where is God in all of this?
Is He still here, or has He been dismissed?
Did we who faithfully promised to worship Him so,
Lose touch with Him, as we come and go?

Where is God in all of this?
Is He still here, or has He been missed?
Do we go too fast in our hectic everyday life
To recognize that He, is our relief from strife?

Where is God in all of this?
He is still here, He has never been remiss
He is waiting for us, to stop, or slow down
Enough to worship the One, who wears the Crown.

About this poem

In times like these, in times of our greatest trials and our lowest lows, as believers in God, we sometimes ask the question, "Where is God in all of this?" In our humanity we feel abandonment from our children, our friends, our family. This poem is to provide assurance that in those moments, God will never abandon us because nothing in all creation can separate us from the LOVE of God.
