Analysis of Burning bridges beneath your feet

Building Bridges throughout my lifetime,
Something meant to be sturdy and strong.
But every time that one was built it never felt like mine,
It was always hers & it felt so wrong.
& as soon as the winds of change begins,
She can't relate so she freaks & bolts.
Then lights the bridge aflame to try & cleanse her sins,
Running away from friendships like an energetic colt.
She was always shy because of her weight,
She hid her vulnerable side to Almost everyone.
& as soon as anything came to light so sealed the bridges fate,
Including all of her past connections under the sun.
Lately it's been worse as I'm getting better,
She's literally lighting the bridge beneath her feet.
our marriage for 13+ years for worse and better,
sending the flames high making me become obsolete.
Sticking our child right in the middle of it all,
Trying to make her choose a side.
She's only 13! It shouldn't be her call,
We the parents should be her biggest true north guide.
I see you falling from our consecrated bridge,
& there's nothing I can do or say to soften the fall.
So here I stand watching you spiral down from the ridge,
Trying to keep up a façade making yourself look like an idol.
Vanity & pride will be your ultimate destruction,
hoping to God you don't take our kid down too.
So while I step back, evaluate, learn & gain wisdom,
you'll be wading in a fog of confusion stuck in an endless pursuit

About this poem

So I've been with the same woman for 14+ years & the last couple years of our marriage she lost alot of weight & her personality did a full 180. She used be nice and sweet now she's become something totally different and this poem is how she had so many friends and as years went on she basically ruined those friendships 'til there's nothing left
