Analysis of You

What are you supposed to do
When your heart begins to bleed
When your heart aches for another human
How are you supposed to feel?
When all your life
You’ve been told not to feel
Not to show emotion
To not love loudly
But soft and quiet
Even when you want to scream it
Always being shushed
And whispered to
What are you supposed to do
How are you supposed to feel
When your heart becomes frozen
And your soul paralyzed
What are you supposed to do
When you finally give up
Let them win
When you push all your feelings
So far down
You forget you even had them
