Analysis of CAVORTING

Cavorting beings haunt the night
Round an evil blood-stained altar,
Swirling dervish like creatures
Do an evil dance, without falter.

In the descending twilight time
As the witching hour approaches,
The innocents sleep safe inside
Unaware of evil that encroaches:

Encroaching upon their sanity
Round a brazier horrors swirl,
Disappearing into the gloom, then
Goblins and imps begin to twirl.

As the Darkfall slowly descends
The blood moon rises overhead,
Calling out demented fiends
Filling decent minds with dread.

Out of the dark and evil night
Monstrosities begin to prance,
Warlocks and witches appear
Searing the night as they dance.

Cavorting beings haunt the night
Abominations of every kind,
Lurid, loathsome nightmare things
Whose mere vision drives you blind.

Gremlins, gargoyles, ghosts, and ghouls
Spreading terror after midnight time,
Shrieking like the voice of death
Corrupting even the sands of time.

Devils, dæmons, and even demi-gods
Join in the chorus of the night,
Spreading their poison all around
Till all things have died from the blight.
