Analysis of Now I Understand

now I understand
why so many have left this time and space
because they couldn't see or feel a more happy place

now I understand
the mind of the one who lives with hate
because their anger told them that they can't create

now I understand
why she chose to leave her marriage and be alone
because there wasn’t sound of peace in the home

now I understand
the reason for her taking her own life
because weren’t any feelings left, not even strife

now I understand
the dance that hope sometimes never brings
because living is only acquiring useless things

now I understand
what makes mankind exchange love for crazy
because the lies being sold have made us emotionally lazy

now I understand
how man's inside voice lead to a catastrophic never ending war
because we never decided that we could ask for more

now I understand
trading our precious time so one can have more money
because we're taught to value paper, isn't that funny?

now I understand
people have chosen profits over humans having real food
because they haven’t any shame just a haughty attitude

now I understand
how nothing actually feels real to them anymore
because even religions have been shaken to their core

now I understand
what has turned the dream for some into a nightmare
because after countless years they're wondering does anyone really care

now I understand
