Analysis of Words Versus Swords
Words can be swords
If left untamed
What’s the intention behind the phrase
Was it meant to be kind
Or was someone then blamed
Did you repair the spoken tear
Or further rip open the hole that was there
Did you ever notice how the words
“I’m sorry”
Can change the course
Of the whole conversation
From fear and bitterness
To love and forgiveness
From anger and resentment
To open contentment
And all that can happen
And change on a dime
As opposed to what festers
And lasts a lifetime
