Analysis of Feeding the Ravens

Feeding the Ravens

I see us, holding each others hand in the cold snow
I see us, kissing in the icy rain feeling the winter chill upon our lips
I see us, walking along the black pebble shore dancing amongst the waves and diamonds.

But all of this is in my idle mind these are my dreams, they haunt me. They show me things I yearn they taunt me.

I feed the ravens, my knowledge.
I feed the ravens, my hope.
I feed the ravens, my wishes.

I just want to hold you, all alone.
Embrace you up against the cold stone
I want to touch the dream, I dare to believe in the reality.
But I know the wounds that my heart holds are mere fatality.

The Ravens are fed, my bones are dust
And my dreams all turn to rust.
