Analysis of I had no time, when I had the time.
When I'm gone,
Take me to the woods
Let me be at rest
And leave me alone
For I had no time,
when I had the time.
to see the change in leaves
astonishing colours
and crunching sounds.
Let me feel the tears of rain
Let me forget the awful pain
Let me be quiet
admiring the birds
let me hear when they sing
Let me smell the scent
of flowers
with all the showers
that April brings.
Let me taste the morning dew
'cause not all are fortunate,
just a few.
Let me feel that cold breeze
when woods around
start to freeze
Let me stay
here forever
For when I had the time,
I did never.

About this poem
Asa teacher and a parent, I live a very "by the clock" life. But when I have the time, I walk in the grove. I realize that now that I have the time to enjoy the nature, I really don't have the time.
