Analysis of The Two.

In the beginning, before light shone upon a desolate landscape, of infant galaxies and developing stars, there were only two

And they sat alone, atop an ether of vast nothingness

A blackness that would be unfathomable, even to the dead, as it stretched from end to end of a baron universe

Save for the flame that burned between them, the only existence in an other wise non existent forever, and they huddled between that heat for unknown eons, as eons had yet to creep from below the vail

In this before time, there were two, a man and a women, tangled by threads unseen

He was something made of the vastness that engulfed them, dark and unimaginable

Whisks of his being floated from his being in unpredictable fashion, only to float out to the sea of black, like the flames of the fire that they shared with another

His eyes, dark and hollow, could only be seen under the flicker of that flame, and they set only upon her, his love

She was a pariah upon the vast nothing, as her soul emitted light so faint, yet so pure, that it hurt for him to stare for more than a moment

It danced across the universe as his black wind hitched a ride, unseen

Her eyes sparked bright explosions amidst the flame, rivaling even that of the beauty that was to come, and they cast upon him whenever his being shimmered against her light

He was her love, and longed for the darkness within, wanting nothing more than to cast it beyond, so they could embrace in her love

This went on for eternity

Huddled against a flame that never ended, upon the backdrop of an unborn universe

He, never able to look upon her for more than a moment, else be blinded by her love

She, wishing to cast the nothing that seemed to come from his being, back into the nothing, so that the two could embrace for the same eternity that surround them

Yet they knew, behind deaths hollowed eyes, and life’s glowing ember of love, that there peace would soon be gone

For beyond there flame, that was beginning to die away, back into the ether, they could feel the tingle of something bigger than the two

There was something happening to the quiet place, a rumble that echoed between them

He glanced once more upon her, hoping to see her smile, just one more time, but felt shame as watched the flame ember diminish into nothing

And then, in the nothing, there was only her faint glow, and the vast backdrop

He, was swallowed by the darkness, staring at her with all his might

She danced across his vision, floating across a soon to be horizon, gaining more and more of the light that came from her

The dark fought a losing battle, trying to push her away from its grip it held on the two, but she was made of life, and love

In an instant, she became the vastness, reaching out in all directions, pummeling the nothing with her essence

Crowding the ether with new parts of her being, as stars and planets began to line the universe

It was beauty untold, to see life begin

And he wept

In the beginning, there were two

Life and Death, and they huddled between a flame of there own souls, forever between a backdrop of an unborn universe

Until the first day of time, when she gave life to the vast nothing, and left him to wander her creation

Until the final day of her life, he collects the pieces that she scatters, hoping that one day, he can put her back together

And it will just be two once more, amidst a burning flame, on a backdrop of there souls
