Analysis of Gambit

Life is a game, so they say.
Yet so many find it not fun to play.
The hand they were dealt was not the best;
They never wanted to hide their cards and bluff like the rest.
But as for me, I see all kinds of value in the pieces that are moved every day.
For what enjoyment would we get if we only won? There would be no achievement, no victories that way.
Our pieces come in many sizes and cultures, many colors and shapes.
Sometimes our rules aren't fully clear, but we all wish for a fun game, right?
The game goes well until someone decides to cheat.
Those who don't play fair are adorned with shame and disdain from their heads to their feet.
Those who are dishonest find it hard to live.
Those that are ahead hardly have a care to give.
The thing is, this game has no winners.
The unwritten rule is to comfort your fellow players.
The things said while playing at the table often leave even the most tenacious feeling unstable.
She is my queen, and I am but a pawn.
Someday I hope that my sacrifice will be remembered when I am gone.
I put myself first
I played the reverse
I hope I don't end up with more cards than I had at first.
The pot is hefty, and my hand seems like a winner.
I'm going all in like it's my last day of betting like a sinner.
Before raising once more, I made myself a vow.
I have folded too many times in the past, and I don't intend to now.
Fifty two cards.
Will I draw the ace of spades?
Or will I draw the queen of hearts?
