Analysis of In Your Eyes

If I ever wanted to 'reach the stars'
I would not have to travel far
Since I've met you, to my surprise
I found those stars lie in your eyes

Please tell me girl, it's not to soon
For me to offer you the moon
I will stand what this world can give
If I can only in those eyes live

To lay kisses upon them at night
To watch them open come daylight
I would pay WHATEVER the cost
To forever stay in those eyes lost

A star-crossed poet, whose only means
Is always reaching beyond his dreams
To follow you wherever you are
So one day I might 'reach the stars'...

About this poem

Beauty is indeed in the eyes of the beholder, but also in the heart of a lover and in the words of a poet...
