Analysis of The New Sound of Silence
Lying in the blood of my slaughtered friend
Listening to the screams, that will never end
Waiting for a 'Hero' to 'save the day'
In the sound of that silence, I pray.
Where is my Hero? Is he still on T.V.?
He's all over the internet, but what about me?
And all of those 'Heroes' that were waiting outside
While my parents were screaming, and my best friends died...
That is the 'new sound of silence'.
No one breaking down the classroom door
No one voting on the Senate floor
God is rendered speechless, by another man made war
That is the new, 'sound of silence'.
