Analysis of Broken Halos
Wish we could go back to those summer nights and corn field mazes,
Down hill races and firefly chases,
Sunset battles and purple sky's,
Back before the days of broken halos,
It was us against the world,
Laughter and smiles,
And ice cream faces,
Basketball shootouts and tire swing spin outs,
Back before the days of broken halos,
We were innocent and full of life,
The world had knocked us down,
But that didn't phase us,
Cause it was us against the world,
Back before the days of broken halos,
Then just like that everything was gone,
No laughter no love,
As if the world had won,
One by one the halo broke,
Its was no longer us against the world but each other against the world,
No more days without broken halos,
Life had won,
The innocence gone,
We learned to adapt and to survive
Bodies bruised and broken,
One life that was torn apart,
No more bonding,
No more family,
Thoughts and memories that began to fade,
What was life like before broken halos?
Life gave us broken halos,
But now it's up to us to restore them
To go back to those summer nights and corn field mazes,
Down hill races and firefly chases,
Sunset battles and purple sky's,
Back to the days of laughter and smiles,
And ice cream faces,
Basketball shootouts and tire swing spin outs,
Back before the days of broken halos.
