Analysis of Fallen Off
I had it all together at one point in time, I was
happy and stable and life was just fine! Then it
happened so fast, you became part of the past,
I had no time to grasp, what day was your last.
I can't believe you're not here, and out sheds a
tear, I wish God would make you appear, I wish
I felt you more when you are near, I wish in my
heart I hadn't a fear. You were my ride or die
especially sober. You brought me luck as if you
were a four-leaf clover. I don't want the good
times to be over! It was a horrible way that you
decided to go, and little did you know, it wouldn't
just be me to find you though, and Shane wouldn't
allow his emotions to show as he now lives in
his own shadow. I had expectations, you had
life's frustrations so we in turn had some
complications. And then you were done and just
couldn't wait none. Shane became a man that day,
NO ONE WAS OK, or knew what to say especially
seeing as how this wasn't going to go away. Your
suicide was here to stay. Be that as it may, I still
think and talk about you every day! I still cry more
than I'd like to admit, I just can't seem to get, my
head on straight. This is no debate, I wish I could
just take, back every mistake, and shortly after
awake. Awake to your beautiful face, and have
this horrible memory erased. I love you Robbie
more than anyone I ever have before! And with
every passing day even though your gone I love
you more! If you received your wings I hope they
allow you to soar! And that your happier than
you've ever been before!

About this poem
This was the first poem I was able to write for my late husband since his passing August of 2020. It's heartfelt and means a lot to me!
