Analysis of Mile
Driving mile after mile
Just can’t wait to see that smile
The distance isn’t an issue
Because my feelings are true
Meeting was truly fate
The first time at Walters State
In the lab I caught you there
With corner of my eye as you stare
Smile comes upon my face
As I’m closer to your place
I would drive this everyday
It’s hard to stay away
Time with you just flies
From dawn to the night skies
Curious to see where we go
And together how we will grow
As I start to drive again
On my way to see you again
Miles come and pass
I hope that we last.

About this poem
This was about finding love while at college. Yes it was a long distance relationship, but a great learning experience and life lesson.
