Analysis of Raising Puppies
The doctors said he couldn't live
Just two years, that's all they'd give
Cancer soon would eat his little bones away.
He didn't cry when he lost his hair
But wore that stocking cap everywhere
And only took it off to sleep and pray.
I bought a puppy and brought it home
In and out of the house they'd roam
Whenever he had enough strength to play.
He would flash his mighty sword
Out chasing devils for the Lord
I was amazed how many he could slay.
He stayed in bed as the cancer got worse
And read his Bible, verse by verse
I cried as he grew weaker everyday.
One day he called me to his side
He told me Daddy, I'm going to die
But forever in your memory I'll stay.
And Daddy, thank you for the puppy
But now you must raise him for me
I'm going to live with Jesus any day.....
