Analysis of Clearer Made

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

What appears is just what it is.
To be one day clearer made.
So...
Enjoy the illusion of it.
Kept if you wish to delude.
Until death from it we all depart.
But...
I wouldn't let the fading away of this phase,
Shock!
Whatever stage you are now at,
Come as if to be a surprise.

'Mister Word Lover?'

Why the formality?
You know how I like,
To keep things simple and basic.

'Aren't illusion and delusion the same thing?'

Almost but not that close.
You see....
Illusion is an erroneous perception of reality.
And on the other hand...
Delusion is a false belief or an opinion kept.
Like...
For example.
Your being in love.
And confessing it.
Is your perception of reality.
That is an illusion.
Regardless if you have been told,
Over and over.
By another who says,
Your delusion kept to keep,
Is not what I feel to believe at all.

'I see.
Can you use another example.
That is not almost that close,
To my own experience.
Or just change the subject,
For something else less clearer made.'

What subject would you pick,
That is free of delusion.
Or illusion to discuss it.

'How about...
Religion?
No!
Better yet,
Politics.'

How about something,
Even more simple and basic.

Planets.
I remember being taught,
There were only nine of them.
Now...
Scientists are discovering,
They are everywhere in this massive Universe.
Don't you ever wonder about that?

'No.
Neither to perceive as an illusion.
Or kept to delude,
To more confuse my mind.
How about 'this' suggestion.
I won't bring up stuff to think about.
And we go get something to eat.
For less than twenty dollars.'

'That's all I got.
You never volunteer to pay for lunch.'

There you go.
Always trying to notice everything.
