Analysis of Behind Her Smile

She smiles at the crowd
But behind her smile
She suffers
Abused, Sexualized, Harassed, Depression
All these, and she still smiles
Saying she’s okay
Saying nothing is wrong
She needs a hand, but she won’t reach for it
She needs a friend, but she won’t open up
She needs help but she won’t ask for it
She needs the courage
Courage to let it all out
Out in the open field
