Analysis of Memory
Saskia Griffith 1994 (Guyana)
Those days were gloomy,
painful and heart rendering,
the racism which was thrown at me,
was not funny at all,
I was beaten on,
my water was spat in as well,
many days I ran home to my grandmother crying,
though I've been through it,
my heart does not extend a single hatred,
but this memory is one I wanna forget,,
for it was not pretty at all.
