Analysis of Phoebe
Daniel Jagger Chisholm Schlosser 1999 (Texas)
Every time I close my eyes,
Smaller parts of my heart dies,
Cause our time is moving fast,
I’m afraid that we won’t last,
We said we’d love each other true,
I think I meant it more than you,
On the day your feelings pass,
Just know you broke my heart like glass,
My love’s been shattered in all directions,
Affection shown through broken reflections.

About this poem
I wrote this about my ex girlfriend, 3 days before she became my ex girlfriend. I write when I get deep in my emotions and Being deployed has certainly left me time to overthink.
