Analysis of A little love left

Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)

I left a little note in your cupboard today
Yesterday a present
Bought new clothes the other day
It said I'll always love you and I'll never be the same
Now that you finally smile when I act a certain way
I wrote like an Angel because you taught me truth
You said try a little harder and suddenly I knew
There was a secret in your mind deeper than any sea
So incredible a find that I wasn't meant to see
It hurt a little bit because I had to set you free
But as least now you smile because you're actually happy
