Analysis of 32

Every day that goes by, there's not a moment you do not cross my mind. The memories we shared throughout all the years, it gets so hard to hold back all of these tears. You're no longer in pain nor are you suffering, for God took you when you finished struggling. A selfish side of me still wants you here, but the grateful side of me knows you no longer live in fear. Don't worry about your kids, they'll be alright, for you're in their prayers every night. When I close my eyes, I can only imagine how beautiful it is to be without sadness. I know you are in Heaven dancing away, just save me a spot next to you for the day I arrive at the Golden Pearly Gates.

About this poem

I wrote this Poem in a Blackout/Mourning moment right after I lost my Sister in September of 2013 to Breast Cancer. I don't remember writing this but I stumbled upon it a few weeks ago nearing her 9th Death Anniversary.
