Analysis of Dying Promise

I’m not ready to say goodbye
I don’t want to see you go
I can see the pain inside your eyes
That you’re trying not to show
I know that it gets harder
On your body everyday
I wish I could do something
To take your pain away
I can’t believe how quickly
Twenty years have passed
We’ve shared all of life’s ups and downs, we had a lot of laugh’s
I can’t believe how quickly
Two decades have gone by
I’m not ready to lose you
I don’t want you to die
I don’t think I can make it
Without you by my side
But you made me promise
To be strong and survive
I don’t know how much longer
The two of us will have
But I’ll cherish every minute
Of whatever time is left
When God finally comes to get you
And take you up above
I will hold onto the memories
Of you and our love
I know that life without you
Is going to be tough
But I will keep my promise
And I won’t ever give up
