Analysis of Beautiful Boy
I am in love with a beautiful boy
Who holds me like I am temporary
And somehow, as if by divine intervention,
He is in love with me as well.
His touch is featherlight
To his lips, my skin is morning dew
I’d fall apart if only he’d let me
But his fingers lock firmly, not a drop of me is wasted
I am clumsy, rough, and desperate
I want nothing more than to crawl into his skin
To tear open his flesh with the points of my teeth
And taste him in every corner of my mind
I am in love with a beautiful boy
And I’d mold his beating heart to mine
If only to feel that he is alive
And to ensure that he remains that way

About this poem
I wrote this poem after a particularly sweet date with a person I miss very much. It's true what they say - you never forget your first love.
