Analysis of My Last Farewell
Close my eyes and paint my face
I shan’t leave this world without a trace
Dress me in my best attire
So all my guests can see me
Say things that I so like to hear
Remember times that we hold dear
That we can say our last farewell
In true and proper fashion
Let jewels adorn my hands and chest
Pretty Flowers upon the caskets crest
Please close the lid so I can rest
My time on earth is over
You’ll place me in the hallowed ground
Where birds and the crickets are the only sound
Next to kin I claim my space
For this will be my final resting place

About this poem
A light Hearted poem about my (or anyone's) funeral. Something most folks don't like to talk about. It will happen. Why not enjoy it.
