Analysis of Roots

Be proud African child,
We share a legacy of a lifetime,
Pass from one gene to another,
We unite like soldiers on their next mission,
Our adults ensured connections were obtained,
Listen you will learn,
Express they will act upon,
Prove you can,
And your hand will be held like a king of the tribe,
We pertain with our ancestors with incense as a symbol to appease,
Respect Is thrown like a blanket all over the bed,
Traditional beer draws us closer to our enemies like a kraal full of cattle,
But an ox never bows before the other,
Misunderstanding ensure understanding,
Ask you will be answered,
Our customs,
And rituals describe gratefulness to them,
Respect my culture,
And I will never judge yours,
Show some loyalty to those who trust in you,
And you will earn respect like an escalating salary,
A diversity of African people eventually unites,
Although prejudice may occur,
But ‘a person is a person through another person’
The closer we get,
The better we know,
Be warned do as taught,
Not as your mind might mislead your thoughts,
Or else you might face charges,
And you will be found guilty of an offence,
That is Beyond a reasonable doubt.
