Analysis of THE BURROWERS BENEATH
The burrowers beneath
Are following underground,
Able to track human prey
Entirely by their sound:
The sound of human speech
The sound of humans walking,
Lovecraftian abominations
Silently they're stalking:
Stalking after human prey
Stumbling clumsily overhead,
Some, they will steal their minds
But others will be left for dead.
From a distant, evil universe
The burrowers have travelled,
With skies as black as cinders
And rivers that run blood red.
Intent solely upon doing evil
They are hunting after mankind,
Some to steal their flabby bodies
Others to take over their minds.
Out of some surreal nightmare
They travel beneath the land,
Readying to subjugate humanity
Planning soon to take command.
Looking like alien cuttlefish
They 'swim' about underground,
Preparing sound to reach up
To drag human prey right down.
Down into the Earthly depths
Burrowing through soil and granite,
Their secret invasion has begun
Very soon they will rule the planet!
THE END
