Analysis of DEADLY STREETS

Terror stalks the deadly streets
As Darkfall so slowly descends,
Men and women and children
Race inside before daylight ends.

Creepers sneak around the dark
In this loathsome hunted town,
Manticore winging just overhead
While burrowers travel underground.

Apelike monsters climbing upon
The tops of cathedrals and homes,
Slink around dark lanes and alleys
Like through monstrous catacombs.

Evil Nestlings are soon landing
Upon hundreds of towering rooftops,
Building their abominable eyries
From which malignant beings flop.

The sandmen hunt the darkness
Leviathans dominating the streets,
Seeking out careless journeymen
Upon who they all will feast.

Blue men haunt the rivers
The oceans and waterways,
Luring innocent swimmers
To reach their end of days.

Green men lurk in forests
And in the parks and gardens,
Looking for naive travellers
Through valleys and the glens.

Terror stalks the deadly streets
Of a town long lost to fear,
Where wise folk never go outside
And foul abominations near.
