Analysis of Year’s Wrap Up Now

Cold has set in

And desire to keep inside

Much as possible.

Special meals perhaps.

But first down to the Mall

Black Friday rush

Things not really needed

But hey, the stuff is so cheap.

Back in action.

The stalls, the Bell Choir.

Folks milling about.

COVID? What Covid?

We must sense and fulfil

There are those who miss out.

Their plight by most

Precious grocery carts stolen

Seemingly invisible traffic.

The reproach, isolation

Shivering, wavering drive.

Vocation is mere survival.

And soon perhaps

No tent cities.

Broken up for those

Nightly hard floor

Sleep spots, where

Nothing is certain.

Nothing is truly inviting.

All is impermanent.

And oh yes, Merry Christmas

And thoughts of

That Other Family Wandering.

In cold situation.
