Analysis of Ecclesiastes, some kind of mess…
What have you done to me
After all the structures, the Temple
All gold, dear king.
Horses and serving warriors.
Tribute and huge acclaim.
Queen of Sheba heard
Of your name/wisdom.
AND YET you cleave
Unto strange wives.
Starting with that Egyptian.
I, God warned in both my
Visits and charges
You ignored same
Oh stubborn man.
Yours will be brought low.
Only two zones spared.
A manipulative servant
Will step into the rest.
Not your Blood.
(My friend David
Abhors what you have done.
His Son, his hope
And precious gem.)
Once mine as well.
Sayings of wisdom
Above all others.
But now, sayings of regret.
Sayings of conundrum.
Heartless time and chance.
Sighs of dismay.
I often shake my head when I hear how men will dedicate most of their time of contemplation to the Proverbs of Solomon. How handy. Thirty one chapters and thirty one days of the month. They are the sayings of an Old Covenant monarch who fell. Law MUST FAIL. Grace only can prevail. And the Bible students keep bowing at his throne; as did the Queen of Sheba. Better they pour over the Four Gospels and Acts, time and again.
Sadly I refer you to 1 Kings chapters ten and eleven.
