Analysis of Love to Hate

Brad Van Conant II 1974 (Croswell)

Criticize – Don’t compromise,
to deal with these fu***ng lies.
You hesitate – I’d love to hate,
the things we do will dominate.
Stand-alone – Don’t be unknown,
this life you live cannot be shown.

Through darkness into light,
these feelings we must fight.
In disarray we stand,
and cannot find our sight.
Left to die – Do we dare to try?
Can we fight these demons being kept inside?
An infection grabbed ahold,
the disease will now unfold.
As it rears its ugly head,
better things be left unsaid.

Is it all about me? – Is it all about you?
We cannot be the same and cannot be true.
What went wrong? We must be strong.
The road to the end sometimes seems so long.
Every breath you take – I reinstate.
It must’ve been you that I Love to Hate.
