Analysis of Cruel Kindness

You  up  high, me  down  low
Maybe  we  should  just  go.
But  oh  no,  you  needed  space
Well  my  friend  that's  a  lonely  place.
You  asked  for a  ring, that's  an  easy  thing
but  I  knew  you  could  not  lift  the  gift  that  I  bring
A  movie  question,  an  integrity  lesson.
Now  all  we  share  is  some  kind  of  cruel  kindness.
You  still  high,  me  still  low.
Time  to  let  it  go,  at  least  friends  tell  me  so.
But  I  say  no,  for  I  need  to  know...
why  be  so  cruel  to  my  kindness.
