Analysis of Fantasies Flight
Gerald Logie 1953 (Michigan)
Taking keyboard in hand, I once again
mount that great, winged steed, Imagination.
My heart races and thoughts soar
as I feel Imagination slowly lift,
gradually escaping realities grasp.
With one hand swinging the mighty
double edged sword of literacy
I begin to cut a wide swath
through the realm of make believe.
A modern day poet warrior
on an age old mission.
Seeking a temporary escape
from the tyranny, torments and trials
of every day task and temptations.
My old friend fantasy I salute you.
Imagination, come carry me away...
