Analysis of So Awkward

So.
Such a versatile word, so.
So good.
So much.
So far.
So there!
So what?
So and so.
And so on and so forth.
So, onward to awkward.
Aw-k-ward.
It sounds awkward.
To mouth it is awkward.
It even looks awkward.
A “kay” between two “double-yews”.
It doesn’t really fit.
Awkward!
It’s just…
So awkward.

About this poem

Isn't life so awkward sometimes? In New Zealand, and perhaps other parts of the world, it is common in colloquial speech to begin a sentence with "so". "So" and "awkward" has been paired because it is a common saying.
