Analysis of Tiger's Cage
You think you know your spirit animal,
Based on a personality test,
From a website that has viruses,
Or based on a filter of a social media platform.
From either one,
You have all the evidence you need.
I know mine from an actual spiritual journey,
That was discovered in another plane,
A plane that can be explained as another dimension.
It was brought to the surface of a mere tiger.
Just because this tiger was the result of past times,
It doesn't mean the soul of it isn't here inside me.
I have the fury,
Like no one can understand.
I have the talent of observation,
Like no one can even realize.
I have the compassion,
Like no one can see.
Just because I have this soul inside me,
It doesn't mean the soul of it isn't fighting for freedom.
I have been clawing my way out,
But my claws have been clipped.
I have been roaring out loud,
But the ones that hear it just ignore my plea.
Just like a prisoner in a zoo,
Caged in to be a display for the public.
Caged in with all my anger,
Caged in with my heartbreak,
Caged in with all my compassion,
Caged in with my dependency,
Conformed to be a pleasant sight,
Instead of allowing me to be free with my instincts.
For all this time,
And for the future,
I will forever be,
A Caged tiger.

About this poem
You know how most people talk about their spirit animal? The animal that represents their personality. Well, in this case I know mine, and was confirmed. Now as a human I still feel the caged symbolism I use.
