Analysis of Ripples of Hopefulness

Courage over Fear,
with ripples of Hopefulness;
and Love over Hate:
The potion of goodwill cheer
for social change  with justice.

Lifelong legacy
of Robert F. Kennedy
for social justice
and human rights equity;
as an American dream.

His pioneer work,
as lawyer and statesman was
a beacon of light,
shining bright in the darkness,
to advance democracy.

He furthered the dream
of the Civil Rights leader,
Martin Luther King;
who sacrificed his own life,
to overcome injustice.

Courage over fear,
is what all brave leaders show.
Their moral fiber
overcoming obstacles;
for the advancement of Peace.

Courage over Fear,
is what brave leaders offer;
with ripples of hopefulness.
Men like King and Kennedy;
with potions of goodwill cheer.

About this poem

Robert Fitzgerald Kennedy (1925-1968), was an American lawyer and statesman who served as the 64th United States Attorney General from 1961 to 1964; and as a U. S. Senator from the State of New York, from January 1965 until the unfortunate event of his assassination in June 1968. A brother of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States, Robert Fitzgerald Kennedy (RFK) was a beacon of light for human rights, equity, and social justice. The RFK Foundation of Advocacy for Social Justice and Human Rights has been established as a tribute to those world leaders and pioneers who, by their stalwart leadership, their entrepreneurship endeavors, and their unwavering commitment for social justice and civil rights enhancement, follow fiercely in the footsteps of Robert F. Kennedy, and who demonstrate unity in the global efforts to realize his dream of a more just and peaceful world. This six-stanza, five-line Japanese-style tanka poem honors the passionate lifelong legacy of advocacy of both Robert Fitzgerald Kennedy and the Civil Rights leader, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., for social justice, and human rights equity in the United States of America and throughout the world.
