Analysis of A Reluctant Acknowledgement

I was not ready to acknowledge
How long I have been traveling
Probably in the anxious shadow of
Mystery of the final destination unraveling
I was not ready to acknowledge
Not because the journey was not worthwhile
But the relentless critic in me yelled:
You are not exactly lily of the Nile
The train did not stop at the places I had in mind
Yet witnessed some unexpected beautiful scenery:
Achievement mountains with colorful blossomed tops
And joyous springs amidst pastures of greenery
My naiveté to spread pleasantries
Took me to some unwanted troubled places
My heart seemed incapable of learning
Though I kept running into the same faces
Lost some things in the translation of immigration
But certainly not the core values of decency
I am comforted it would be carried forward
As my beloved future generations currency
The loved ones trusted in my goodness
That helped me become even a better person
Luck gave me nurturing, compassionate comradery
Showering me with sitar tunes from heaven
Existence particles got distributed in my co-travelers
And I suppose theirs in my life too
Is this what is called as immortality?
Mankind’s response to life’s fatality?
Never mind, at some point in adolescence
I dreamt of but could not become a celebrity
It is enough that the destination in the clouds
Surely would be enveloped in tranquility
