Analysis of Judgment Day
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Behold the coming of the day,
Shall be burning like a furnace;
Evildoers who disobey,
Stumble falling from vulgarness.
That day comes setting them ablaze,
Leaving them neither branch nor root;
Because of their arrogant ways,
They only produced sour fruit.
But you fear the name of the Lord,
Will rise with healing in its wings;
Because you have never ignored,
The blessing that salvation brings.
You shall tread down on the impish,
Being ashes under your feet;
Their ways are merely childish,
Filled with many lies and deceit.
Remember the Law of Moses,
The statutes and rules God commands;
As His judgment will bring justice,
Fair and just to all He demands.
Before that great and awesome day,
Elijah comes before the Lord;
To whom will be paving the way,
For those with righteousness restored.
He makes the heart of the child,
Turning them onto the father;
Their father no more defiled,
Neither of them as a loather.
Lest the Lord comes and strikes the land,
To decree utter destruction;
A curse with one swipe of His hand,
To prepare for reconstruction.
