Analysis of Aroma in the Spirit
Douglas Blair 1951 (London)
Have you thought of how
Your presence has aroma.
And you needn’t say
A word or quote a verse.
It’s the Spirit found
Inside who kicks reaction.
For the better or for repulse
In the worst.
Some are searching
For bright changes in their prospect.
Heard of Jesus, His
Compassion for the lost.
Then sweet savour in your presence
Brings some answer.
As a melting heart
Moves upwards without cost.
Now the converse smell
Is waiting for rejection by
Rebellious.
By the ones despising
Jesus and His Way.
They find stench in your presence
Quite repulsive.
Fits the rotten disposition
That holds sway.
