Analysis of Mirror

Mirror
I look in the mirror and like what I see.
So stylish and cute.
Is it body dysmorphia in reverse?
I pose for a photo, so confident and sure.
What did I see in the mirror that looked so right?
The photo tells the truth, stylish and cute no more;
Fat, ugly, and stupid to boot.

About this poem

This is about feeling inadequate despite my best efforts to measure up.
