Analysis of The Mountains
All these mountains I have to climb
With no guidance, many walls I find
Everything becomes too tall
Another insurmountable incline
I have found that when I rise
You push me down into a pit
I scramble to the the top
But never really filling it
You make me strong, only to make me weak
I try to find my underneath
For what was there before
There is nothing there at all.
I can’t find the light, I am suffering
I lose track of where I should begin
You are a mountain, I never win
You are the pit I have fallen in.
I wish I had the tools to follow through
With everything you gave me, I am still losing
I don’t know where to go
All these walls are just one empty hole
I am no longer here, I have given in.

About this poem
There are moments where difficulty arises and those are the times where we and others test our resilience. Sometimes we win and sometimes we give in. The giving in is a moment that we have to rise or be broken. Life is testing and it is hard. This was a moment where I felt weak but writing makes me strong.
