Analysis of Ode To Books
I hold my book in my hands
Its cover
Is as smooth as water
And its pages filled with thousands of words.
I can feel the saft ground under me,
And the rough bark of a tree Giving a comforting warmth.
I turn my attention back to the soft pages
And my eyes are glued.
Everything drifts away.
The sounds
The tree
The ground
The book
The hard things in life
And I fly into another world.
Dragons swirl around in the sky
Merchants sell magical potions
Elves live in the woods
And an assassin follows me.
I hear a distant call
And lam slowly pulled away from the magical world.
Someone calls my name And I know it's time to go.
hug my book, as I would with a dear friend And it hugs me back.
I feel warm
Safe
Free.
