Reflections From a Lonely Heart
By Nancy Rodriquez
I have gone through all of the emotions;
and have searched my soul from within;
I had given you plenty of devotion;
from when we did begin;
Reflections from a lonely heart;
I can recite them one by one;
while I was falling all apart;
you left before our new lives begun;
I see the mistakes in which I made;
and I hear the thunderous door slam shut;
When you hear my name, you now hate;
once adored, and now seems crushed;
The echo is my heart in peices;
compared to rose petals hitting the floor;
shattered , and to be no more.
