How to make a one-armed Newfie
Fall out of a tree?
Wave at him.
Two Newfies hitch hiking
Decide to separate on the freeway.
Better their chances.
One up ahead not doing so well
Thirty minutes pass.
Up comes second guy in
Beautiful sports car.
How did you get that car, Chuck?
Well, yasee, up comes the Camaro with
A beautiful stacked blonde driving.
Low cut dress, wafting perfume.
She jumps out of the car.
Tears off most of her clothes.
Says, All that I have is yours…
So I took the car.
There follows a cataract of laughter.

About this poem
A Newfie would have been born and raised in the province of Newfoundland. Full of good humour, songs Whether Celtic or French. Salted beef in Jig’s dinner, potatoes, cabbage, onion, carrot. Slow cooked. Distinct accent and salty stories.
