Analysis of Mix it up Ages. Lunches.
Have to share this table
Place is honkin busy
And music suits the juvenile.
Old Guy shifts over.
Arriving his BLT.
And steaming Earl Grey.
Smiles congenially
Rubs together his chapped
Hands.
As if warming up
For competition.
Younger introduces himself.
Name’s Rafe, partner.
Pleased to meecha.
What do you do Son?
Paints houses, lots
In that new development.
Pretty tired of off-white.
It’s always off-white.
Would love to get into a place
Wanting darkest of blues.
I would slam it, yeah.
Both men laugh.
Slap across the shoulder.
Ice gone.
Think I want some Special K.
Aw Man, no meat in dat.
I’m paying. Go for it.
I guess.
