When I choose to speak, people listen
But I am not heard
I walk into a room full of people
But yet I’m still alone
I am consumed by the world around me
Wanting to be set free
I know I’ll eventually be swallowed whole
And there will be nothing left,
But my soul

About this poem

This poem was written in a time in my life when I felt alone and forgotten. I wanted desperately to find love again, but I didn't know how. I felt lost, broken, and incomplete.
