Analysis of Betrayed

I gave you all I had to give,
I gave my all for you.
I was always there,
day and night
My love for you was true.

Time went by,
And you turned cold.
Whatever did I do?
I must’ve done something pretty bad,
To be treated this way
By you.

At least that’s what I told myself,
To give you an excuse.
What I didn’t want to see,
Was the pattern of abuse.

Now our friendships over,
But for you, that’s not enough.
You’ve lied and even slandered my name,
But I’m about to call your bluff.

You don’t get away with hurting good people,
I know this to be true.
Karma, she sees everything,
And soon she’ll be coming for you.
