Analysis of Little by Little

                      Little by little
                        Day by day
                      Time after time
                      She’d fade away
                        Little by little
                      She lost her way
                       Time after time
                          Day by day

She’s left pieces of herself behind
Let her anxiety take control
Standing here unrefined
Waiting for her thunder to roll
Water flows from her eyes steady
Holding on to a tattered rope
Everyday her troubles weigh heavy
Lost her ability to cope

Little by little
                        Day by day
                      Time after time
                      She’d fade away
                        Little by little
                      She lost her way
                       Time after time
                        Day by day

Abandoned faith left out to dry
No longer will she believe
Little by little her heart has died
It’s getting harder to conceive
Echos of the painful screams
From haunted voices of guilt
She has lost the power of dreams
Crashing down the walls she built

Little by little
                        Day by day
                      Time after time
                     She’d fade away
                        Little by little
                     She lost her way
                       Time after time
                          Day by day

About this poem

This is about a woman I knew. She had depression and anxiety issues . Some days were worse then others. In the end she is no more. I was unable to turn her around.
