Analysis of Phanathema
Enter the snarling beasts
Lightning in their eyes
Thunder in their throats.
Heavy breath lingers in the corner
Shadowed.
Fear creeps, a fangled crawl across the floor
Higher ground doesn't exist here
It has been blackened by eclipsing plumage.
What are these evils of flight?
Where is my beacon of light?
Bleak despair, impending doom,
All stay with me inside this room.
Try as I might, out of bravery or fright,
My screams go unanswered still,
In this hullabaloo all hands are pocketed.

About this poem
During a time of miserable solitude, where depression was creeping in, a loss of love and loneliness returned in full effect.
