Analysis of Shadows

Innocence  was taken
As she cried herself to sleep
Scared to tell a single soul
Of the monsters at her feet
Shhh don't you make a sound
Cause no one will believe
That someone would do that to a child
Because you are so weak
Ahhh don't you say a word
Because Daddy won't believe
That someone would do such things
To someone ohhh so sweet
Daddy's little princess
Sits shattered on the floor
The monster he keeps coming back
To hurt her just once more
Don't tell Daddy cause he will think that it's all your fault
He will think your a bad girl
And won't love you anymore
Shhhh don't you say a word
I promise it won't happen again
Innocence  was taken before the girl turned 10
She kept it buried deep inside
Daddy never knew
The shame she carried with her
All her life through
The monster he has gone now
He can't hurt her anymore
The demons are still with her
Shadows on the floor .
